These resources are offered as opportunities to explore your mindfulness practice.  The Center for Healthy Minds does not have any formal relationship with these organizations or resources, and we encourage you to contact them directly for further information.

Meditate with other people, attend a sitting group or form your own, join a class

Talk to Carmen about ideas for attending mindfulness retreats, classes, and regular community sitting groups. Consider movement classes such as yoga, tai chi, qi gong or martial arts.

  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week class offered in Madison, WI by the UW Health Mindfulness Program. Adult, teen, middle school, and BIPOC courses are available in both in-person and online formats throughout the year. They also offer online drop-in sessions.
  • East Bay Meditation Center in Oakland, CA offers a welcoming environment for people of color, LGBTQI individuals, people with disabilities, and other underrepresented communities. Many online classes and retreats on a pay-what-you-can basis.
